Make Money Blogging - 20 Easy 100% Success Steps- Part 1
I made 2 assumptions when designing this process.
1. You know next to nothing about Internet Marketing and blogging.
2. You don’t have any money to spend on tools or courses to get you started.
I was like you not too long ago, so I know where you’re coming from.
This is meant to be a step-by-step process that I’m giving away totally free. I know I could probably make a pricy info product out of it - I’m sure someone will say that I should have done a WSO before this thread is over.
That wouldn’t have accomplished my goal though.

I want to help people who want to get started with blogging for profit, but may not know where to start, or understand the basics of how to properly set up and automate a blog network. The real point of the process presented here is to give the reader a solid foundation of the principles behind successful blogging, and to teach the basics of blog automation.
Is this system profitable in and of itself? Of course! I want you to be encouraged by your progress, and you will make money if you utilize the steps in this course. The more times you go through the process, the more you will make. However, if you don’t do anything, you won’t make anything at all.
Is this going to make you rich? Probably not. This is the very bottom level of blogging for profit. This is the bare minimum you need to create a scalable, automated system. It only has one method of monetization (AdSense) and it’s engineered to use only tools that are free and freely available.
Once you’re comfortable with the principles and the process, I expect you to expand your toolset. Find and use better, paid tools to multiply your efforts. Find new ways to monetize your blog network asset - other ad streams, affiliate products, paid content, etc.
Even though this process is limited because I want to make it so anyone can utilize it with no money down, I want to assure you that all the work you put into this system has PERMANENT value. You can continue to build on this network, improving and expanding it, and therefore increasing your profits. The only limitation is how much effort you want to put into it.
I hope those of you struggling to get started with Internet Marketing and blogging will find some value. Please post feedback and questions.
Phase 1: Finding a topic and setting up your first Blog.
Step 1: Identify a profitable niche. Countless pages upon pages have been written about how to do this. Finding a profitable niche often takes either hours and hours of research and experimenting, or use of expensive and sophisticated tools (and sometimes both). Fortunately, since this will involve AdSense as the monetization scheme, someone has blazed this trail already.

This site has a few pages that we’re going to want to look at. The first is a list they maintain of the most profitable AdSense niches. That list is here:
http://www.topnichewords.info/most-…eywords.html
What I recommend you do with that list is copy and paste into a spreadsheet program (I use Excel). What I do is break the list up into seperate sub-lists. I put the nouns on one list, the adjectives on another, the place names on another, etc.
Then, try to combine several of the words into a coherent niche topic. At this point, don’t agonize over your choice. Just pick something that combines words from the profitable niches, and chances are it will work out fine.
If that’s a little too complex for you, there’s another page on that site that you may find useful. Here’s a list of the most profitable keyword combos for AdSense.
http://www.topnichewords.info/top-p…eywords.html
If you don’t want to try to pick a niche, just pick a phrase from this list and move onto the next step.
Step 2: Collect keywords in that niche. Just like the first step, there are a lot of sophisticated and expensive tools you can use to get keyword lists. I personally really like Brad Callen’s Keyword Elite, but there are some great free tools online, like Google’s own “Keyword Suggestion Tool”.

You can use that tool, or another one like:

or
http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-list/
I’m sure there are a number of other free options as well. You basically just want to generate a list of terms associated with the niche or phrase you chose above. The list doesn’t have to be huge, it just has to make sense.
Step 3: Identify the most profitable keyword in that niche. To do this, we are going to take that list from Step 2 into Google’s Traffic Estimator.
https://adwords.google.com/select/T…matorSandbox
Once you have your list in there, set the tool to $10 Max CPC and $10K daily spend. I like tens, I guess. Again, not tested against anything else, but this is how I rank the keywords. Try different things if you like until it behaves how you want it to.
I sort the list by “Estimated Cost/Day” and pick the highest or second highest, whichever appeals to me the most.
This is the target keyword/phrase we will target our niche blog around.
Step 4: Open a Gmail account if this is your first time through this process. Don’t use one you already have. Let’s create a brand new one for this project. I recommend just using a person’s name. Just make something up.
This is a repeating process, so when you get to the end, you start over at the beginning. I like to keep the number of blogs in a single account at 10 or below. You can certainly do more or less, but that’s how many I’ve done, as it seemed like a sensible amount. I’ve never tested an account with more than that. But by all means, try it if you like. I encourage experimentation.
Step 5: Using the Gmail account, open a Blogger account. At this point, we haven’t completed our keyword research, so we won’t create a blog just yet. What we WILL do is complete the Blogger profile for our account. Just make some stuff up - try and make it funny and interesting if you can. Pick a funny picture from Google Image Search or Flikr to put into your profile. This will give your blogs a personality and make them more believeable and sincere to the average viewer.
Step 6: In your Blogger account, build a blog themed around the niche, targeted at the most profitable keyword from your list. At this point, we are talking about the Title, Subdomain name, and Description.
Pick options that include your keyword/phrase in it, name the blog to be something like KEYWORD News, or KEYWORD info, or something like that.
Now, I know a lot of IMers don’t like Blogger, and especially not the free BlogSpot hosting service. I like it just fine. Never had a problem, never had a site shut down, never had any downtime or unavailable service. YMMV, but for the purposes of this process, I’m going to explain how to do it with Blogger.
Pick any template that appeals to you or looks like it will best match your chosen theme. Any one is fine. If you don’t like any of these, just pick one and there are more choices inside the blogger interface.
Step 7: Place your AdSense blocks in your template. You can do this from the Layout > Page Elements section in the Blogger interface. Play around with that interface until you get it, and then create 3 new AdSense elements. If you already have an AdSense account, this is easy. If you don’t, create one now, and set it up to work with this blog.
A lot of stuff has been written about how and where to place your ad blocks. Personally, I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about it. I just put them in the same 3 relative spots in each blog.
I place the first one as a 728 x 90 just under the header extending the full width of the blog.
I place the second one as a 160 x 600 skyscraper as the second item in the columnar nav, just under the “About Me” block.
I place the 3rd one as a large square ad (pick the one that stands out best in your template) in the post column above the post block.
I haven’t done extensive testing, but in my observation, the colors to pick are ones that match your template, with no border. This is easy to set up in the Blogger interface.
Step 8: Place 1 - 3 paragraphs of text about your topic into your template. Use good SEO tactics on this content. It doesn’t have to win the Pulitzer, just a few original sentences about your topic that contain your keywords. Write a headline, boldface a coulple of keywords, etc. If you need some SEO tips, you can find a pretty good quick checklist here:
http://www.webconfs.com/15-minute-seo.php
I place this block usually under the square ad block, above the post content, or at the top of the site, under the horizontal banner block. Do whatever looks good to you.
Step 9: Set up your blog’s post-by-email address. You can do this under Settings > Email Settings. Keep the address a secret, but make it something you’ll remember because you’ll be using it later.
Optional: Some people don’t like the Blogger bar on their blogs. I leave it on sometimes, and sometimes I don’t. I try to mix my blogs up. It’s unclear whether removing is something that Blogger wouldn’t like - it’s not specifically againsts any TOSs I can find. But, since it’s ambiguous and somewhat controversial, I say it’s optional. To do this, got to your Template HTML tab in Blogger and add the following code just inside your <HEAD> tag.
NOTE: I should mention this - make a text file or spreadsheet or something where you keep all these blog sender addresses in one place. You aren’t going to use that list until you have many, many blogs. But I’ll get into what you can do with all those addresses later on - it’s really cool, I promise.

Phase 2: Content creation, automation, and distribution.
In the first part of this process, we spent most of our time picking a niche topic, getting some keywords, and setting up our blog. Now, the next part of our process will involve setting up an automated content stream for our blog, as well as set up a really easy way for you to post unique content to your blog network as well, so you have a nice mix of content for your visitors.
