What Is Site Flipping Part 4 – Final

Previous posts about site flipping 1, site flipping 2, site flipping 3 ..

Stage 10: Get Directory Links

For those that don’t know directories are websites that categorize other website on the Internet and contain links to those sites. While their SEO benefits have decreased recently they are still important to Google. So this is another important piece of the puzzle and you can do this while you are posting to your blog or while you are waiting for your Ezinearticles to get approved. You can submit your site and get some quality backlinks for free by submitting them to these sites.

http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-reciprocal-links-buy-sell-swap/6751-free-one-way-linkspr3-more.html

If you really want to see your Page Rank improve quickly submit to these directories as well:
Use:
http://directorysubmitter.imwishlist.com to submit for free to tons of directories. These are some of the most powerful directory links you can get.
Yahoo Directory: http://dir.yahoo.com/
Dmoz: http://dmoz.org
Best Of The Web (BOTW): http://botw.org
Microsoft bCentral: http://sbd.bcentral.com/
Business.com Directory: http://www.business.com/directory/index.asp
The Yahoo directory listing is expensive but it is well worth the money for the traffic and page rank you’ll get. Yahoo is still the #1 most visited site and will pass nice pagerank onto your site. DMOZ is difficult to get into so don’t be insulted if you’re not listed there. But it is certainly worth a shot. If you don’t get listed, just keep at it with the other directories and you’ll do just fine. Here is a general tip that applies any time you are doing SEO but it especially applies to getting links from directories. Scope out your competition. See who is ranking high for your keywords.
Just type your keyword into Google and see who is #1.
Then type their URL into https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/
That will show you where their links are coming from. Look at what directories they are using and use the same ones plus a few more. You’ll be dominating the spot in no time.

Stage 11: Get More Backlinks from Forum Posts

Here I’m going to recommend a very cheap solution to get many more great backlinks to your site. I would go over to the Digital Point Forum and put up a thread on their Content-Services section:

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102

Tell them that you are looking to hire forum posters. People there will post for you in forums for pennies on the dollar!

Look at what the going rates are. Don’t be cheap or you’ll wait a long time to find posters, but last I checked for 12 cents a post you can get quite a few people ready to work for you! Require that the posts be in readable English and be at least two lines. Require that you get see the links to the posts before they get paid. Do your own research and find the most popular forums in your niche and require that they register and post to those forums. Also require that they use your primary and secondary keywords in the signatures of their posts as anchor text and link back to your homepage and other blog posts on your site. You should be able to complete this step for under $10 and pick up about 40 backlinks. Or you can do this yourself at no cost at all.

Stage 12: Monetize Your Blog

Stage 12 should be done as you are doing all of the above steps. You want your blog to be making money, or at least be READY to make money. Doing this is simple. Find affiliate products related to your niche on Clickbank.com
Create an account with Clickbank if you don’t already have one and get your own unique affiliate links to their products. Then use these links after each of your articles in a way that makes sense. So for instance, after your article about golf tips on your blog you can say: and if you really want to take your golf game to the next level you are going to love this:

http://youraffiliatelinkstosomegoodgolfproductonclickbank.com

It’s also a good idea to actually purchase the product you are promoting and do a review of the product on your blog. This should bring in a few sales as your traffic rolls in. Be sure to use your affiliate link when doing the review. It’s also good practice not to promote garbage. Also check out what the “gravity” is on Clickbank for the product you are promoting. That tells you how many sales of that product are coming from affiliates. The higher, the better. A high
gravity probably means the product’s sales page sells well and those are the kinds of products you want to be promoting. So sprinkle affiliate links in a logical fashion throughout your articles and at the end of your articles. Don’t overdo it. Keep it looking natural and in context and make sure it’s something you wouldn’t mind telling your friends about. That’s my personal test for whether I’m going a good or a crappy job marketing. It shouldn’t LOOK like marketing. It should look like a helpful website that’s not trying to reach into anyone’s pocket but just trying to help people out and when you do that well you’ll make money automatically.

Many of the affiliates you will find on Clickbank.com will offer other affiliate tools like affiliate ad banners that you can place on your site. Get these whenever you can and have someone (maybe your hosting company) help you upload them permanently to your blog in the empty spaces available there. Also put affiliate links as your “highly recommended sites” on your blog. So when you’re all done with this stage you should have a spiffy looking blog with lots of good content and tons of subtle opportunities for you to make money sprinkled throughout. If you really work hard at this you should have #1-#3 rankings on all your primary and secondary keywords and you should have the Page Rank of your site up to 3 within four weeks. Now you are ready to sell your site for a major windfall profit.

Stage 13: Sell Your Site

You want to do this at http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/ . Site Point is known to have loads of serious buyers and they do live up to their reputation. Click on the button on the left which says “Create New Listing” and list your site as an “Established Web Site For Sale” since your site should be over 30 days old by now. I recommend leaving your auction up for the full 30 days to get the most money for your site. What you write to describe your site is very important to how this auction turns out. Before you write anything take a good look at what has been done before you. Look at the sites that have bids. Look at the sites that are selling well and basically do as they do!
Why reinvent the wheel? Look at their subject headlines and descriptions and model after them. Finally, be sure to provide screenshots of everything you think would be valuable to a potential buyer including screenshots of your traffic (which by the way you should be tracking using Awstats) There are instructions for how to create screenshots of anything on your screen here: So if you’ve made any money on Clickbank go into your account and grab screenshots of your earnings. Figure out how much it’s earning per day or month and mention that in your description. Then you can place those screenshots on a post on your blog and link to the post in your Site Point auction. Don’t know how to do screenshots?
You can find some simple instructions on how to do them here:
http://www.pcuser.com.au/pcuser/hs2.nsf/lookup+1/89C3D7659987ED8ECA25715E0010F331
How much should you set your minimum and reserve bids? It depends on how well your site is doing. You can sell a site for up to 36 months worth of profits. I’d recommend that the reserve should be around 12 months of profits.
e.g. if your site is making $200 month in profit (after costs) then you should hold the reserve at $2400.
Once the auction is over and the final bid is in you will know who the winner is. Be sure to keep in close communication with him or her through the Site Point personal messages and you will just need to ask HostGator to help you do an “HTML Redirect” so the site is transferred to the new owner. Swap out your own affiliate links before you do collect the money and you’re done! That’s it, folks. It’s that easy.

Summary:
So let’s review what we’ve done here and how much we’ve spent. You got a hosting resellers account for two to three months=$72 (you can even get this for cheaper with a regular account if you don’t mind doing all the paperwork)
A domain name=About $10
Content: If you outsourced it, it cost you $60. If you did it yourself it was free.
Hiring Forum Posters: Probably About $15. Or free if you do it yourself.
Directory Links: Free
Site Point Auction fee: $5
Microniche Finder: $67
How much time did you spend? The most time consuming thing was probably the articles. But if you outsourced that this entire thing could be done in a day or two’s worth of work if you are new at this. If you are familiar already with directories, article writing and SEO I bet you could knock this entire project off in five hours. So all in all we are talking about as little as $82 or at most $157 and you have yourself a site that should easily sell for $2,000 but can also sell for as much as four or five thousand dollars if you find the right buyer. Not a bad return on investment if I do say so myself.

Now this “quick” make money flipping websites guide is over i will make an PDF file for you to read through my newsletter.

Don’t be shy tell me what you think about site flipping guide :D

What Is Site Flipping Part 3

Hi,i will continue o write my ultimate guide on site flipping, you can read site flipping part 1, and site flipping part 2 if you not already.

…Stage 5: Install A Wordpress Blog

As you may already know blogs are an excellent way to host the content on your site when it comes to SEO. Wordpress blogs are heavily favored in Google’s algorithm probably because of the many pages of content it lends itself to creating easily. Google, by the way, is the most important search engine we need to worry about for our purposes here. In order to host your blog on the domain name you just bought you simply need to go into your C (control) panel in your hosting account and find the “Fantastico” button. Follow the
easy instructions to install a Wordpress blog at your domain name.(some of you don’t have fantastico,in Godaddy you find it in Hosting section)

Stage 6: Make Your Blog Fancy

This should be fun.Reselling a website is similar to reselling a house. A few cheap aesthetic improvements will often affect the purchase price dramatically. So that’s what we’re going to do here only for us it’s not just going to be cheap, it’s going to be free! So sign into your Wordpress blog and click on “Designs”. Find something really spiffy and follow the easy instructions there to install it. If you really want to get fancy with your blog theme and ensure you will really “wow” those potential buyers for a reasonable price I’d recommend using: Theme Spinner (just google for it).

Step 7: Create Quality Keyword Rich Content

I’m going to recommend that you create (or buy) at least 40, 250 word articles. For $60 you can have this entire step done for you over at Cyber Hub Online . Now whether you write these articles yourself or outsource them, remember that these are not just any articles. You want these to be SEO optimized articles. So mention your primary keyword and your secondary keywords throughout the articles. Don’t use them too much. But don’t use them too little.A 2-4% keyword density is what you are shooting for. That means you want a keyword to show up at least every 50 words. It’s also advisable to work your keywords into the titles of the articles.
Your articles don’t need to be Shakespeare, but they should make sense and be helpful and informative. Make sure you are proud of what you are putting up there on your site even if that means touching up the articles you outsources. Potential buyers will be checking it out soon. If you choose to do this yourself put some of your keywords into Ezinearticles.com and Google to get article ideas for your particular niche and then just go for it! Even if you don’t outsource this you should be able to do 10 250 word articles a day. Not a big deal. 250 word articles are much shorter than you think. We’re talking about a paragraph for introduction, make your point, a paragraph for the conclusion and you’re done. I mention this in the my other posts but it bears repeating here. The better your articles are, the more traffic they will get. Keyword optimization is good, but nothing compares to an article that goes viral. If an article really peaks the interest of the Internet community you can have so much natural traffic and links coming to your site so fast it will knock your socks off. It is not NECCESARY that you do this for your site flipping to work. It’s just a way you can make even more money that you ever thought possible with the process.

Here’s what you would do. Go over to one of the most popular social networking sites like Digg. Type in the keywords relating to your niche.See which articles are really kicking butt (getting the most Diggs) and do something similar. Maybe you even want to do a rebuttal to their article. Don’t ever copy another person’s article. But take the essence of what they said and put your own spin on it. Newsworthy information will always pull better than information that’s rehashed. So you probably will find that a lot of the top stories in dig mention some relevant news that just came out about weight loss, or making money. Capitalize on that. Mention that same news in your article with your own thoughts on the topic. Also be sure to use catchy titles in your blog posts.

What’s considered a catchy title?
Once again just look at what is already working. Go back to Digg and see what their titles look like. Don’t copy them but model after them. In the videos you’ll learn how to “Ping” your posts to the social networks and when you do the title will be the most important factor in the success of your blog post. (Let me give you a quick tip about pinging that is not mentioned in other posts…there is a free site you can use to ping your blog to many many social network sites all at once. It’s ping.fm and I suggest you check it out and take advantage of it. It will save you lots of time when you are doing this. I didn’t even know about it until recently so you can probably flip your site in even less time than it took me).
Once again, this is not necessary for this to work, and I don’t want you to get discouraged and give up if you think you can’t do this. I’m just saying that even one viral article on you blog can skyrocket the value of your site and therefore the value at which you can sell your site. So if you think you’re capable of writing a viral article definitely go for it and reap the major rewards!

Another tip you should know is that “controversy get’s attention”. If your title and your article are shocking, there’s a darn good bet you’ll get a lot of attention. And attention is good for sales. I was speaking to a fellow marketer the other day who crashed his server because he wrote a pinged a blog post that said “Britney Spears and Linsday Lohan Caught Kissing”. In fact the blog post had two pictures of each of them kissing their boyfriends.

But you should keep this story in mind if you really want to see incredible traffic to your site. What would interest the maximum amount of people in your niche, and just give it to them.

Step 8: Post Half of the Articles To Your Blog

That is simple enough. As you are writing these articles post a few of them to your Wordpress blog each day by pressing “write new post”.This will give your website credibility in the eyes of Google as a site that regularly comes out with quality and dynamic content. Use the “Manage Categories” function in Wordpress and post your articles to various categories. This will create more pages for your site and that’s a good thing in the eyes of Google. Our goal here is to increase our search engine rankings as well as our PageRank.
Page Rank is a complicated topic, but you don’t need to know exactly what it is for this to
work for you.(and now pagerank is not affected with quality of your site, but for flipping websites is good) Suffice it to say that potential buyers will see your site as much more valuable if it has some Page Rank and that’s why you need to go get some!

Page Rank runs on scale from 0 to 10 with 10 being the highest. Your goal with this site is to
achieve a Page Rank of at least 3. You can use this site which is pretty accurate to see how your Page Rank is doing as you do these stages: http://www.dlls.info/

Step 9: Submit The Rest Of Your Articles To EzineArticles.com

Remember I asked you to create (or buy) 40 articles. 20 are going on your blog. The other 20 you should submit to Ezinearticles.com. If you don’t have an account with them you should open one now because they are the article directory that will give you the most traffic and SEO benefits. When submitting your article to Ezinearticles.com be sure to place a link back to your site in the author’s resource box. This should show up after your article. It will bring some traffic to your site but more importantly you are getting some quality backlinks, another important factor in the eyes of Google. When linking back to your site using the resource box you should NOT just use a regular link like this: http://loseweightreallyfast.com
Rather you should have your primary or secondary keywords be the link and have the URL of the website embedded into that text.
So the author’s resource box after each articles should look something like this: Jason Gadget is an experienced author and writer and he’d like to share with you his best secrets to lose weight really fast on his awesome blog. Check it out now.
The words “lose weight really fast” in this example above are called your “anchor text”. In order to make this happen use this code when creating your resource box:
<a href=”http://www.your-website-here.com.html”>Primary or secondary keyword
phrases</a>
Always use your keywords as your anchor text, using your primary keyword as well as your secondary keywords. If you did this right your keywords should be showing up in the title of your article two or three
times in the body of your article and then again as the anchor text in the link in your author’s
resource box.
Hot tip: I recently spoke with a true SEO expert who informed me that Google is now giving great weight not only to the anchor text, but the text before an after the anchor text. In general you should try to keep things looking natural, so it’s a good idea to use the keyword in the text before the link and after on some of your articles. This is a tip that will also apply nicely to the SEO methods you’re about to learn later in post on site flipping…..
